Lea Ráskai, a sister in the Dominican convent on the Margit Island between Buda and Pest, copied five texts between 1510 and 1522. She not only included her name, but added notes on contemporary events in the longer works which kept her occupied for many years. So in the Cornides Codex she writes, ‘I finished this on Friday, the evening of the feast of St. Denis, in the 1518th year of the birth of our Lord.
